Cora Dones is a Senior Project and Business Development Advisor for CFP. She is also CFP’s lead business development representative in the U.S. She is a dynamic leader, accomplished entrepreneur, top-level manager, international consultant and resource speaker with over 30 years of professional experience and expertise in environmental management, water and sanitation, biosolids, air, solid waste management and land reclamation development.
Prior to joining CFP, Mrs. Dones was appointed by Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley as the Commissioner for the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin in Maryland, U.S.A. In that capacity, she led the efforts of the commission to protect and enhance the waters and related resources of the Potomac River basin through science, regional cooperation, and education.
She was also appointed as lead environmental consultant of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Agency (SBMA), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the Province of Cavite.
In recognition of her various achievements and valuable contributions to the community, Mrs. Dones was awarded one of the Twenty Outstanding Filipino Americans in the U.S. and Canada.
Mrs. Dones has a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry from Adamson University. She also completed various Environmental Training Courses in Maryland, U.S.A. She is a registered professional chemist in the Philippines.
