Darvin Yambao is an urban transport specialist with over 20 years of experience in the planning and development of airports, roads, and rail systems in the Philippines. He has led numerous technical consulting teams in the preparation of feasibility and engineering design studies and has done extensive work in related areas including cost and traffic demand analysis, procurement planning and construction supervision for urban transport projects including the PNR Rail Network, MRT 7, and Northrail-Southrail Linkage Project (Phases 1 and 2).

Mr. Yambao began his professional career as an infrastructure development planning specialist of NEDA and, thereafter, headed a division of the engineering design and maintenance department of one of the largest Philippine commercial banks. He moved on to become the lead technical advisor in many public airport, seaport, road, bridge, and rail projects as principal engineering and PPP specialist engaged by developers, consulting firms, state-owned companies, and bilateral donor agencies. Currently, he is a technical team leader in the ongoing redevelopment of the Puerto Princesa International Airport.

Mr. Yambao has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the Philippines. He also completed a technical training course in comprehensive urban transportation planning in Tokyo, Japan.
